With Leitao visiting our top ’07 recruit today, here’s great news about one of our top ’08 targets:

“I’m starting to get some new ones now, like Duke and North Carolina. I wasn’t expecting those,” said [Elliot] Williams, a Mr. Basketball finalist who averaged 21.2 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists and two steals per game for Division 2 state runnerup St. George’s this season.

“Right now, I’ve kind of brought it down to Tennessee, Memphis, Clemson, Virginia and Vanderbilt. Those are like my main five. Duke, North Carolina and Texas are on me now, but I’m still really focusing on those five right now.”

Everything I read about Williams says superstar. It might be tough swaying him away from his homestate schools (he’s from Memphis), but I’m not one to bet against Leitao either.
