The Virginia men’s tennis team reached the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament for the third consecutive year, downing Wake Forest 4-1 Thursday afternoon in a round of 16 match at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex. The Cavaliers will meet Southern California in a quarterfinal match on Saturday, looking to reach the semifinals for the first time in school history.

So, the third consecutive quarterfinals. But hoping for the first ever semis. Safe to say that we’re looking at that proverbial hump our great tennis team needs to cross to reach the next level.
