RMJ blows up

February 22nd, 2009 by Mahini

Roger Mason Jr. is having the breakout season we all knew he had in him. Last night, he dropped 25 points and 5 assists to pace the Spurs against the hapless Wizards. Right now, he’s averaging over 12 a game, and he’s turning into a bit of a last-second winning shot specialist. In fact, last night the Fastbreak guys noted that the Wiz should’ve realized that Mason is one of the top shooters in the game right now.

Right now, the Spurs are battling for the second seed in the West, which means that Roger will likely get a good chance to contribute during a deep postseason run. And, it’s been a long, long time since a Wahoo has had that opportunity in the NBA. Not counting the coaching Wahoos, of course.
