Top Juniors On Hand For UVa/PSU Game

September 9th, 2012 by Chris Horne

Bayside (Virginia Beach, VA) safety Quin Blanding, Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA) defensive lineman Andrew Brown, Bishop Sullivan (Virginia Beach, VA) wide receiver Jamil Kamara,  Chancellor (Fredericksburg, VA) offensive lineman Steven Moss and Ocean Lakes (Virginia Beach, VA) defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi watched the Hoos pull out a 17-16 win in Scott Stadium yesterday.  Blanding and Brown are considered two of the top overall prospects in the country in the class of 2013.  Moss has 13 major FBS scholarship offers already, Kamara is closing in on double-digit offers, and Nnadi boasts five major FBS offers.  UVa has offered all five recruits.

Other juniors, including Middletown (MD) offensive lineman Justin Falcinelli and Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA) defensive back Daiquan Lawrence, were confirmed to be in attendance.  6’2″ Matoaca (VA) sophomore Trevion Armstrong, a standout basketball and football player, was also in attendance yesterday.  A group of players from Dunbar (Washington, D.C.) was there as well.  We’ll follow up on these prospects in the coming weeks and months.

On the commitment front, three class of 2013 recruits were on hand.  They are Ocean Lakes (Virginia Beach, VA) quarterback Corwin “Turtle” Cutler, Bayside (Virginia Beach, VA) tailback Taquan “Smoke” Mizzell and Potomac (Dumfries, VA) defensive tackle Donta Wilkins.
