The Sabre’s Kris Wright Goes 4 Downs On UVa-Georgia Tech

September 14th, 2012 by Kris

TheSabre.com is joining Wes McElroy on Sports Radio 910 in Richmond each week to bring you “4 Downs” of Virginia football. You can listen to the segment each Wednesday during the 3-6 p.m. show or via podcast online. In week three, Sabre Editor Kris Wright answers:

  • The running game and offensive line have drawn a lot of questions this week over lack of production. Is this “needing time to gel” or is time to shuffle things in the interior?
  • Michael Rocco, who was pulled last week, is still the starter according to coach Mike London, but he still wants to find time for Phillip Sims in games. Does it really come off like London is totally committed to Rocco?
  • Last year, UVa upset a Top 10 Georgia Tech team but also had a bye week to prepare for the Yellow Jackets’ offense. What are the biggest concerns for a young defense with a lack of experience and prep time for this offense?
  • What are your thoughts on Notre Dame to the ACC
